When the wedding was announced last year, one British paper headlined it "Unemployed Woman To Marry Into Welfare Family."

As far as I'm concerned, Sid and Nancy were the only Royal couple.

At the time I was horrified by the lese majeste at the time of the Queen's Silver Jubilee. As I recall, it was banned from the radio and, even though it went to Number One, we couldnt see it on Top of the Pops.

These days I enjoy the tune and the lyrics, even if I am still a Royalist.
